I’ve had this fear all my life because I didn’t want to look like a sleazy sales person holding out a distributor form.

I guess most of my downlines felt the same way.

In spite of huge endorsements on the MLM or network marketing industry by big guns like Robert Kiyosaki or Donald Trump, people are still afraid of the word ‘MLM’.

But what if, you knew that the product you had in your hand had the power to SAVE lives?

If you truly believed in your product, you will WANT to share with other people and when you know that it is good for them, you remove the fear from it.

So when the benefits of your sharing out weights the fear of rejection, then you will have no reason why you shouldn’t share your MLM with others.

Your dentist possibly has told you “If you don’t brush your teeth at least twice a day to eliminate the bacteria, one of three things will ultimately happen. You’ll get gingivitis, your teeth will decay, or at the very least, you’ll have breath that will chase your friends away.”

None of these sound like a good outcome to me. So twice a day brushing sounds like a good thing. But you are probably asking how this relates to self growth and success.

Success habits must be done daily without thinking about it and should naturally be a part of your daily actions. Here are some ways to get rid of the mental bacteria:

• Start your morning by thinking about all of the things you have to be thankful for.
• Read some personal development material each morning.
• Read some personal development material every night before bed.
• Listen to a motivational or inspirational CD as you drive your car.
• Listen to a personal development message on your iPod while taking a walk.
• Sign up to have inspiring stories or quotes emailed to you daily.
• Keep inspiring pictures and quotes on the walls in your home and office.
• Keep inspiring motivational reminders by your phone.
• Put notes with your short term goals where you can see them in your home, office, and car.
• Spend 10 minutes every day meditating or envisioning your future success.
• Stay away from things and people that will suck the positive attitude out of you.

Success and a positive attitude don’t happen over night. They come day by day. A friend recently shared with me that he began taking 30 minutes each night to go for a walk. He said it does wonders for his outlook, energy, and his mind. As well, he said the fresh air helps clear his mind and think without interruption. He went on to say that the walks help him take away all of the negativity from the day. It’s a great idea, especially if you’re listening to some self growth material.

I am convinced that if you can spend 10 minutes every day in the shower, you can put in 10 minutes every day reading ,listening to or learning a positive message or something to do with self growth to get rid of the mental bacteria. It’s important to becoming successful to stay focused and invest in your mind and attitude, to clear away the bacteria and to keep learning.

Ok…So most of us know that we should be doing our MLM recruiting and business on-line. This means that search engines, which look at keyword and SEO, bring us a lot of our visitors, especially if we are using the building on a budget tactics for getting free traffic. Well, Google recently released something that’s worth using, Insights for Search.

This new tool gives us access to a huge amount of information related to searches on the net. We can now look at the numbers for searches preformed in precise areas, categories, and periods of time. These search results can be valuable for marketers promoting seasonal items, geo-targeted products or for targeted keywords to boost an MLM business. If you don’t know the importance of keywords or SEO and how to correctly use them, you need to learn these things.

Let’s say we are trying to find a new niche to promote with. Let’s take the keyword phrase ‘on-line education’ for example. The majority of keyword tools will show us current search results and maybe the results for related terms. But Insights for Search can tell us whether a keyword or phrase is declining, if it’s rising or ready to ‘break out’ (meaning it’s a possible ‘up and coming’ niche).

As well, some of our keywords or terms might get our content or ads put into the wrong category without even realizing it. When we really understand how SEO, PPC, Adwords, keywords and web traffic works and we spend some time using this helpful tool, we can reveal new insights about the niche markets we are using for our products or services that we never knew existed. Paying attention to where keyword searches are most popular, top searches and rising searches can be very beneficial for those of us building on a budget.

Of course, if you are unsure about SEO, PPC, Adwords and keywords, you’re not going to get much use out of this tool. It’s important to understand how all of these fit into marketing and an MLM business to get any real value out of it. First of all, let me start out by saying that if you are not using some sort of email campaign you should be. Email marketing is very powerful and every online networker needs to be using it to some degree. However because it is so powerful and free to use, it is overused. So let’s have a look at some strategies to get better email campaign results.

If you are one of those people who abuse this tool, (spammer) you tick me off because you ruin it for the rest of us. People are sick of getting constant junk emails. So now there are:

1. Spam filters that are taking care of the spam, but are also picking up legitimate emails. These filters are picking up your marketing and my marketing that is being sent to those that actually requested the info.
2. We also have the problem of substantial deletes. All of us quickly scan through the multitude of emails, highlight them all and then click delete. There is usually so much mail that it’s hard to decide which emails to read, so we just get rid of them.
3. There is huge competition for people’s attention. People get many emails everyday and perhaps many from other marketers that are also attempting to spark interest in the very people we’re trying to market to.

This all means that it’s getting really hard to get email campaigns even seen by the prospect, and even harder to get them read and responded to. Does that mean that email marketing won’t work? Of course not. We just need to find inventive ways around obstacles. One way to do this is by using something called downloadable email messages. This type of message can be a newsletter, e-course lesson or special report that you announce to subscribers by mail. The difference is it’s a downloadable document.

Normally we send something like an e-course directly to subscribers email. And here’s where the problem start.

• If we use the wrong keyword in the message the spam filters may get our message.
• Everybody and their dog sends their email on the same day and yours gets lost in the mess.
• Many subscribers “mean” to read your email, but accidentally delete it or file it away never to be seen again.

So now what? You go around the problem by using downloadable email messages that go something like this:

• Subject: Name, here’s your download link… or Hi Name, You may download lesson 3 of the “List Building” e-course at http://www.mydomain.com/lesson3.html. Then you give a short explanation of why it works and why they need it and end it with your signature.

It’s less likely that the spam filters are going to grab this email campaign. Instead of including your whole message, you have only a few words and this makes it easier to get through the filters. As well, a downloadable document has a better perceived value and even if it doesn’t you still stand out. In an over saturated market, those who are different get more attention. As well, you get a longer shelf life when someone downloads your info.

Write your email campaigns like usual but then convert them into documents. You can make them more interesting by using diverse font sizes, styles and colors, along with some graphics if you want. In your autoresponder, instead of sending out the actual information, you’d send a download link to the file. The key is to make your message easy to identify and easy to locate.

As well, be sure to cross promote. Briefly bring up other similar messages that the subscriber may want to download also. For example: If someone is reading the 4th lesson of 6 lessons, then you would provide links for the preceding 3 messages. This reminds them to download and look at them and increases your chances for results. You might insert an affiliate link as well. Ultimately, you have messages that take the reader from one to the next and keep them interested and exposed to your offers. And finally, they spend money on your products or services.

Email marketing is great but it’s not without problems. So, we have to learn new ways of using it.
