Inspiration DNA-Google Search Will Benefit MLM Social Networking

Ok… so let’s face it, the Net is a pretty bountiful place.
Occasionally, even with the assistance of a search engine, it’s hard to find something you’re searching for, particularly when that something is a particular blog or internet site produced by somebody in your social networking circle that can get forgotten in a bona fide haystack of a 1000000 search results. One of the keys of social networking is keeping abreast of what your contacts are doing.
Think for instance of that blog about dogs your networking contact is updating while she is building her grooming business, or your chums Toronto Maple Leafs sports fan page. We have all lost a important e-mail that held a link to somebody’s blog or internet site and had to nod with politeness and act like we read all about their new business venture the next time we see them at a party or chat online because we couldn’t find the web site again. Talk about embarrassing and a way to shorten your social networking contacts.
This week, Google set in motion a new tool called Google Social Search, which aspires to assist users find more relevant socially-generated content produced by the individuals they know and follow online.
Suppose you’re looking for that Leafs or dog grooming blog your friend publishes. If you search for “Maple Leafs, or dog grooming” the likelihood is that their websites aren’t going to appear on the first page of Google’s search results. With Social Search, content produced by common people (not internet super stars as of yet) in your contact lists is configured to ripple to the top page.
With Social Search, Google discovers relevant public material from your friends and contacts and spotlights it for you at the bottom of your search results. With social networking and networking in general having such an impact on MLM marketing, this tool could really be a boost for all of us.
First of all, users will need to produce a public Google Profile. And then, Google’s technology produces a list of friends and contacts from that profile – drawing in Twitter contacts, FriendFeed friends and Gmail contacts – also as any subscriptions and sites from your Google Reader account.
And then, once you do a search through Google’s search engine, your social search results pop up about midway down the first page.
Currently, Social Search is exclusively a Google Labs experiment, but the search engine behemoth is trusting users will help refine the service.
You should see these social networking as groups of possible friends who have requirements you can meet, not as potential consumers who you can take advantage of or income streams that you can take advantage of.
If you have a grossly commercial, non-helpful approach that is uncaring and uninterested you will be loathed—and the negative publicity could perhaps ruin your business.
Social networking must be done correctly… you must care and pay attention to what those in your circle are doing. This new tool from Google seems as if it will be a great benefit.
