When gathering prospects and MLM leads, the goal is to market, not sell people on your product or opportunity. In selling someone on your opportunity through convincing conversation and fancy closing techniques that center on hype, then you’ll probably sign up a lot of people. However, when the hype wears off, the prospects will find out that they have to put in the work and get training. This could lead to them quitting.

Regrettably, this is usually the case in our business. A much more productive way to handle recruiting is to make it the prospects idea to join your business or buy from you.

The worn out ways of trying to get leads is just that, worn out. Nowadays, people are bombarded with information, marketing, and endless information on the newest opportunity via the internet. Data is collected on us all and it is used to send us as many personalized offers as possible. We all have been forced to put up barriers against those who are trying to get our money and it become tiresome.

So, for network marketers it’s important to find a way to get people to come looking for you. When we position ourselves so that interested prospects find us, and contact us, it breaks the barriers that so many have put up around them. As well, when people search for you, they are essentially asking you to offer them your products or services.

This puts you in the drivers seat and makes you the authority whose knowledge will be pursued. Trust is already present. But you have to understand that your best means of drawing prospects to you is to market yourself.

We must offer value to our prospects above the opportunity. The greatest way to do this is to get the education. With the education you can develop into an expert at lead generation, sponsoring prospects and attraction marketing. Remember if people don’t see the value, they won’t invite you in.

If you find that you are having a hard time with getting leads and/or sponsoring, you can be sure that it is because you just are not offering anything of real value. In order to have any real success, you must change that. In order to offer anything of real value… you need the training.
