So, I am getting ready to release a new e-book and thought I would share some tips with you on how to get started on your own publication to attract prospects for your MLM recruiting.

If you’ve been thinking about using an e-book to ramp up your business you may be having a hard time getting started even though you know what “topic” you want to write about. How do you come up with what to include in your e-book? Let’s take a look at how to decide by exploring some ways to generate ideas.

Listen to people.

  • No matter where you are, listen to what people are saying as well as feedback coming from prospects, downline or visitors to your site. What subjects are being discussed and what seems to be important to other people? Having good listening skills is a huge benefit not only for writing but for your business.

Attend training.

  • Getting training is essential for business success but it can also spawn writing ideas. Absorb information that other people are sharing and extract ideas that you can use yourself.

Brainstorm.

  • Whether you use family members, a group of friends, or mentors, brainstorming is a brilliant way to get new ideas. You can sit and just start tossing around ideas. You’ll be amazed at how productive it can be. You will hear ideas that you never even thought of because others think differently than you.

Incorporate Childhood Memories.

  • Sit down and start writing down childhood memories. Start with a specific age and think about your school, your friends, your clothes, a pet, anything you can. You will start to see many ideas developing that can be useful to you in writing. You can even talk to other family members or friends and ask them to share stories about their childhood.

Evaluate Data.

  • Evaluate your topic with a survey, a poll, asking questions or having others ask you questions. Put all of the information together and you’ve got even more ideas.

Watch Some TV.

  • TV covers anything and everything and if you’re struggling with ideas, there could be something that will you.

Use The Alphabet Game.

  • Start with the letter “A” and start thinking of actions, places, people, objects, verbs, etc, which start with that letter and are related to your e-book topic. Go all the way to “Z.” For example: if you are writing an eBook on internet marketing, here are some ideas…
  1. A = affiliates
  2. B = building a list
  3. C = conversion
  4. D = digital goods
  5. e = ezine
  6. f = following-up
  7. g = Google

Do Interviews.

  • Find some interesting people in the industry who have had an exceptional experience and do an interview with them. Look for experts in the business. Ask them a few questions and then use the whole interview as an actual part of your e-book.

These are just a few ideas to help you get started with your own e-book. However don’t forget, after you have your book written you will still need the training to properly market it and yourself if it is to do any good.
