U.S. Presidents Day, also known as Washington’s Birthday, is a United States federal holiday and this year the US has made history with the first minority president, president Obama. You might be thinking, “OK, great, but what does this have to do with my MLM success?” Well, thinking about president’s day and a brand new president brought about a ‘light bulb moment’ and I’ll tell you how it pertains to your MLM success.

Comparing presidential success to MLM success may seem like a far reach, however, it’s really not. A new president enters the White House in much the same way a new network marketing entrepreneur enters a downline. With enthusiasm, a feel for what is expected on some level and a hope for a bright future. However, the real light bulb moment came when I was wondering just how in the world one man, the president, could have success and make such important decisions about a whole nation, world matters, economic situations, security, health care, etc, when there is no way he could possibly have all the information on it all.

Then the light bulb moment: He has advisers.

The president looks to and essentially pays those who know more about all those situations than he does to give him advice and lead him in the right direction. From there he uses this information from the experts and decides how to go about his ‘business’ of running the country. The light bulb came on. This can directly relate to my MLM success.

Looking to experts that have already been down the road and made the mistakes and have figured out how to not repeat the mistakes can offer me a game plan for success. People who find success without taking too many hard knocks seek out expert advice and apply it to their situation in a way that makes sense to them. After all wouldn’t you much rather have someone that tells you what will work and what will not work and be straight with you on whether or not the approach you are taking in your MLM is something they have already tried? Just like the president seeks advice from his presidential advisers, I must seek expert advice for my MLM success.

This brought about another light bulb moment. This is why branding works so well for MLM success. Successful people know that seeking out someone who is an expert at what they do will save them a lot of headaches, money and disappointments in the end. Branding yourself as an expert will have others seeking out your advice and perhaps even make them willing to pay for it…just like the president pays the presidential advisers.

So this is how I had the light bulb moment and how President’s Day corresponds to my MLM success. Expert knowledge on a subject is very important for success in anything. It’s important to get all the knowledge we can from people who have already become a success in our field. As well, it is important to brand ourselves as an expert so that others will seek out our knowledge and advice. Doing both can have a profound impact on success in life and network marketing.
