Fusionology-Ted Kennedy Lessons On Determination

When we are in business for ourselves, determination and staying power are highly crucial for our success. We can all take some lessons from Ted Kennedy.

Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the last existing brother in an enduring political dynasty and one of the most influential senators in history, died Tuesday night at his home after a yearlong fight with brain cancer. He was 77. In nearly fifty years in the Senate, Kennedy, a liberal Democrat from Massachusetts, served beside ten presidents, his brother John Fitzgerald Kennedy among them, compiling an impressive list of legislative accomplishments on health care, civil rights, education, immigration and more.

Kennedy was sworn in to the Senate on November 7, 1962. In November 22, 1963, while presiding over the Senate an aide hurried in to tell him that his brother, President John F. Kennedy, had been shot; his brother Robert shortly told him that the president was deceased. Yet he was determined.

On June 19, 1964, Kennedy was a passenger in a private Aero Commander 680 from Washington to Massachusetts that went down on final approach into an apple orchard in inclemency, in the western Massachusetts town of Southampton. The pilot and Edward Moss, one of Kennedy’s aides, were killed. Kennedy was extracted from the wreckage by associate Senator Birch E. Bayh II and spent months in a hospital recovering from a serious back injury, a deflated lung, broken ribs and internal bleeding. He endured chronic back pain from the landing for the rest of his life. Yet he was determined.

Ted was in San Francisco as his brother won the critical California primary on June 4, 1968; after midnight, Robert was shot in Los Angeles and died a day later. Yet he was determined.
On May 17, 2008, Kennedy had a seizure, and then another one as he was raced from the Kennedy Compound to Cape Cod Hospital and then by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. On May 20, doctors announced that Kennedy had a malignant glioma, a type of cancerous brain tumor. The grim diagnosis brought responses of shock and prayer from many senators of both parties and from President Bush.

Doctors at first told Kennedy the tumor was inoperable, but he looked around for other opinions and decided on the most aggressive and consuming course of treatment conceivable. He was determined.

Kennedy died of brain cancer on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at his home in Hyannis Port, two weeks after the death of his sister Eunice.

Creating lasting motivational drive and determination is a vital key to opening that door to success. Because there’s lack of an immediate financial reward, we’re often discouraged early on in our efforts to keep a strong push towards our dreams of success. The ability to maintain a consistent and powerful push will be the elemental factor in determining whether or not you succeed. If you are able to develop that, then the only question of success is how much of it do you want to accomplish.

Fusionology-Branding Determination And Tools Lessons From Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is an Austrian American bodybuilder, actor, businessman, and politician, presently serving as the 38th Governor of the state of California. His branding techniques, determination and using the correct tools are a lesson in fusing all of this into a successful career.

Determination:
Schwarzenegger’s goal was to turn into the keenest bodybuilder in the world, which meant becoming Mr. Olympia. Schwarzenegger started weight-training at 15. He was presented the title of Mr. Universe at age 22 and advanced to win the Mr. Olympia contest a total of 7 times. Schwarzenegger continued as a prominent face in the bodybuilding sport long after his retirement, and has authored several books and a lot of articles on the sport.

Following his arrival as a Hollywood sensation, he made a number of successful films. Schwarzenegger advanced worldwide fame as a Hollywood action film icon, famous for his lead role in such films as Conan the Barbarian and The Terminator. He was dubbed the “Austrian Oak” and the “Styrian Oak” in his bodybuilding days, “Arnold Strong” and “Arnie” during his acting career, and as of late the “Governator”.

Branding:
Schwarzenegger has been a recorded Republican for numerous years. As an actor, his political thoughts were always well-known as they contrasted with those of many other big Hollywood stars, who are broadly considered to be a liberal and Democratic-leaning community.

As a Republican, he was first elected on October 7, 2003, in a particular recall election to replace then-Governor Gray Davis. Schwarzenegger was sworn in on November 17, 2003, to serve the balance of Davis’s term. Schwarzenegger was then re-elected on November 7, 2006, in California’s 2006 gubernatorial election, to swear out a full term as governor, defeating Democrat Phil Angelides, who was California State Treasurer at the time. Schwarzenegger was sworn in for a 2nd term on January 5, 2007. In May 2004 and 2007, he was named among the Time 100 people who help form the world.

Tools:
Recently, as just an interesting side note, it’s big news that the Schwarzenegger plane had to make a forced landing. A plane carrying Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger made a forced landing at Van Nuys Airport today after the pilot reported smoke coming from the control panel in the cockpit.

The jet was about 10 minutes from Santa Monica Airport “when the pilot made a quick, steep, but safe landing at Van Nuys at 6:23 p.m.,” Schwarzenegger’s press secretary Aaron McLear said.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews met the jet on the runway.” Upon landing, the governor exited the jet and traveled to his house. “The NetJets crew did an outstanding job and everyone aboard landed safely and unharmed.”

On his Twitter page (because he knows how to use all the attention getting tools… he even posted a picture from the incident on TwitPic… the attention getting tool once again), Schwarzenegger wrote, “A little adventure just now when my plane made an emergency landing. All’s OK, though.”

This particular celebrity knows how to use fusionology… combing knowledge, tools and dedication along with mixing different forms of careers and marketing. We could all learn something form him. Fusing together what works is the key, and the sooner we all learn how to do this, the sooner we will all have the ultimate success.

Fusionology-College Grads Going Into MLM

Today’s economy is really in the toilet and it has many different college grads looking into MLM’s. Let’s face it there are news stories all over the net documenting what a hard time college grads are having getting any kind of work, much less work that will pay enough to help them pay back their loans. This is why many are moving into online businesses.

You know there are different scenarios for those just coming out of college and those in the workforce or trying to get a business off the ground:

There are individuals who go to college and do all right for themselves.

There are individuals that do swell in high school and burn out in college.

There are individuals who go to college and put their all into it only to see all their time and money go up in smoke because the Company that they put their blood, sweat, and tears into just closes, lays people off or sells out.

There are individuals who start a business who skyrocket because they’re focused and their timing is right.

There are individuals who start a business and before you know it they’re into something else because their previous plans crapped out.

And on & on it goes. But one thing remains common, people are really taking a hard look and questioning going into the mainstream professions and taking the schooling for them.

Some students are so disappointed in their education for mainstream employment they are taking drastic actions as evidenced in a recent news story.

Trina Thompson said Monroe College in the Bronx has neglected to support her following the culmination of a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.

The New York post reported she filed a law suit last week, after 4 month’s of fruitless job hunting.

The 27-year-old is requiring to be repaid her $70,000 (£41,700) tuition fees.

Ms Thompson stated the school’s Office of Career Advancement hasn’t supplied her with the leads and career advice it promised before she began studying.

A spokesman for Monroe College rejected the claim.

Gary Axel bank stated the lawsuit is entirely without merit as the college does assist its alumni in discovering employment.

Lastly, the economy now is atrocious, especially for graduates. Graduates shouldn’t blame themselves too much; you’re not the only graduate who can’t find a job. Even non-profit charities (Salvation Army, Red Cross, United Way, etc.) are suffering in this economic system as donations have drastically slumped.

You are able to be assured of one thing however – change is ever present- if you discover how to adjust to change and capitalize on it by being proactive and discovering new ways of looking at things you’ll be ahead of the curve. On line business is fast becoming the wave of the future. However, there is also a right way and wrong way to handle this business as well. Learning how to fuse the best techniques from across the board is the key to success when dealing with an online business.

Fusionology-Some Fusion Is Good Some Is Not

While lots of people were happy with President Obama’s decisiveness to have Harvard professor Henry Gates and Cambridge policeman James Crowley over for a cocktail on Thursday, it may have gone over best with one particular set of people: comedians. While President Obama was trying to fuse politics and a casual beer meeting, people that made a good go of it were the comedians.

Judging from the backlog of jokes that several comedians told over the preceding week, the beer summit was a comedy goldmine for content. Time and time again, joke after joke, Letterman, O’Brien, Fallon, and Maher milked the affair. And they developed some amusing material. So one must take note when trying to fuse certain aspects of business… some work and some don’t. Then again what doesn’t work for one obviously works for another, as this example shows you.

Obviously Obama trying to use fusion between alcohol and politics didn’t work for him but was a smash for the comics. Out of the 4, Letterman seemed to like the summit the most, making the most jokes at the expense of the get-together. And what would an Obama joke be without injecting the obligatory poke at Joe Biden?

“Big beer fest at the White House. And today, Obama sent V.P. Biden on an emergency good will mission for pretzels, so that will be good,” Letterman said.

Fallon played with the tee-totaling V.P. Also: “President Obama held his first beer summit at the White House today. Obama wanted Bud Light, Crowley wanted Blue Moon, Gates wanted a Red Stripe, and Joe Biden wanted whatever fits in his beer helmet.”

Naturally Letterman had a top-ten list for the event. A couple favorites include: “Let’s call Limbaugh and take this party to the next level” and “Tell Geithner to put his shirt on”.

Comedian Bill Maher was more targeted in his remarks: “So, I don’t know if this is a case of racism. The police in Cambridge say it had nothing to do with Gates being black. They said they’d have given the same treatment to any minority.”

A very good lesson we can take from these comedians and apply to our own business is this: A good comedian doesn’t just stop with one joke. They take a hot topic and get everything they can out of it. This is how we should use fusionology in our businesses. We need to find a hot topic (that won’t back fire on us) and get the most out of it.

Incidentally, it wasn’t just the comics who had fun with the story. The mainstream news media had a blast with it also. So, once again, we need to be careful what we are trying to fuse because even though the fusion of beer and politics backfired for the president it sure worked out for the comedians. We must learn the correct fusion techniques for our business ventures and that’s how we can keep our fusion from backfiring on us.

Michael Jacksons Legacy-We Can All Learn From What He Modeled

Michael Jackson is the model of somebody who did what he was passionate about and turned it into amazing success. He lived his lifetime purpose and loves. As an MLMer, I bet you must have heard ‘Man in the Mirror’ dozens of times. He loved singing, dancing, performing, and so forth. We can all learn from what he modeled.

I’d enjoy sharing some accounts of what he means to me and some stories from subscribers to show just what an impact MJ was able to cause in his enterprises. When I was younger, the Motown 25 Special was being shown on TV. Michael sang “Billie Jean” and did his moonwalk. I found a recording of the show, and I looked at it daily for at least a month. I was so stunned by him. From that minute on, I needed to know more about entertaining. I began envisioning myself performing every song that I heard on the radio. Years afterwards, I even started performing in front of audiences.

One subscriber writes to say, “In 1984, my parents brought me to watch The Victory Tour. My parents bought a Michael Jackson poster that’s still hanging in my room right now. I as well still have a closet in my room with Michael Jackson memorabilia. I’m so relieved that I kept everything.”

Another subscriber writes to say, “As a kid, yearly, I had a Michael Jackson birthday cake. He was a huge part of my childhood, and I’m so grateful for every joyous moment.”

Michael was as well a humanitarian. He enjoyed helping people. He had such a thoughtful heart.

He was an exceedingly hard worker. He paid attention to detail, and he made his aspirations become a reality.

We should all endeavor to work a little bit harder, determine goals, and make our aspirations comes true. Let’s as well forever remember the importance of repaying and assisting others. Dream up ways you are able to make a difference in someone’s life. Put a grin on a stranger’s face. Get out and do something you’re passionate about. Find and live your life’s role and passions. Do something to make the Earth a more beneficial place.

This article comes to a close with the following citation from Michael’s song, “Man in the Mirror.”

“If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make that change.” Use your best tools to inspire and help others, find your passion and execute it and work diligently and then you’ll be an MLM success.

Michael Jackson’s Legacy-He Was a Master at Branding

Michael Jackson has been parodied by many musicians and comedians throughout the years, e.g. Wacko Jacko and the all the songs that Weird Al Yankovic did. If you are in MLM, you can expect fierce competitions, rival products, (products that looks just the same as yours in another competing MLM), just like MJ. You must stand above the rest.

Duplication is said to be the ultimate form of flattery. Some examples of those who took MJ’s work and made it their own; Mad TV parody’s of Michael Jackson, “Weird” Al Yankovic’s “Fat” video or “Eat It” video, in 1984 Steve Martin did an impeccable parody of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean. Comedy singer “Weird” Al Yankovic has heaped praise on Michael Jackson, insisting the late King of Pop helped turn him into a household name in America.

Weird Al famously parodied Jackson’s “Beat It” and “Bad” in the 1980s and scored massive hits with both and the late superstar signed off on both songs, giving Yankovic permission to poke fun at him.

There are 100s of MLM businesses present today. For each business there are 1000s of distributors present. So in a market overwhelmed with 100s of businesses and 1000000s of distributors, how would you get noticed and how would you get leads? You have big competition and you need to stand out from your competitors. You’re not only vying against distributors of other MLM programs, but you’re also vying against the distributors of your own programs. With such competition, you have to try hard to get noticed. You need branding. With our business we must make sure that we remain the front runner that everyone recognizes… like MJ did with his branding of the unmistakable glove, the dance moves, the unmistakable voice and creativeness in videos and songs.

Branding means formulating a brand of you and your business, which is unique. Branding means producing an identity that’s easily recognizable. Branding is the marketing strategy that big business uses.

There are many concepts needed in brand building. Brand building takes time. You have to let people to start remembering you the way you want them to. The process can slow but once you get it, then you are able to keep the brand alive for a long time. Michael Jackson had his branding down so well that his ‘mark’ will live on for many years beyond his passing. He will still be selling products even though he is gone.

How well do you have your branding techniques down and do you think MJ would have gone as far without his?

Michael Jacksons Legacy-Every Leader Faces Persecution

Even though Michael Jackson will always be recognized as a gifted entertainer first and foremost, the star will also be remembered for the legal troubles that plagued him throughout the latter half of his career and the persecution that followed. Every leader faces persecution.

Public opinion about Jackson was split after the settlement was announced in one of his trails. Some took the action as an admission of guilt by the singer. But others were sympathetic toward Jackson, who, having spent his childhood as a performer, was robbed of a normal upbringing. When one is at the top of the pack, they will ultimately face some form of persecution in their time as a leader.

Being a leader means recognizing passion, authenticity, integrity, and ethics as the cornerstones of effective leadership upon which we lay the foundation to bring about change. And these are private choices, not simply what we come to know by studying about leaders and leadership. Being a leader means knowing who you are at the deepest level. If you want to be a nobody, just hide under a rock… you’ll never lead people in your business or your life.

To know who you are you can think back over your personal history and identify the four or five most important events or episodes in your life, the moments that have defined who you are today. Michael Jackson had many past life events to draw on… the fame as a young child… the reported mistreatment from his father… etc. Think of the kind of leader you want to become, including the most important goals you have for the contributions you want to make to the world – your legacy- what will make you a star. Learn how to allocate your time and energy–the amount of attention you pay to various people and projects in your life—this can help you assess whether you’re actually doing what you care about doing. In recent years Michael Jackson’s attention was given to his children and his success afforded him that luxury.

At times during the super starts life it seemed as if the odds were so stacked against him that he wouldn’t go anywhere but down. However a true leader knows that the more the odds are against you, the bigger your rewards are at the end of the day.

Everyone has their own opinion on whether or not the accusations about Michael Jackson were true. This still doesn’t change the fact that the persecution he received showed him once again in the light of a leader and millions waited for the next piece of news. Don’t you agree?
